MEET ELLA
As you know already, I grew up in Transylvania, where my curiosity and interest for travel was first ignited by the pages of Jules Verne's books and through art.Long before I traveled the world, I imagined it.Those stories taught me that every place has something to say, if we're willing to slow down and listen.
Life eventually took me far beyond those childhood dreams.I've been fortunate to explore more than 125 countries, study in Bucharest, live in other countries, sail around the world, and spend years creating experiences in luxury hospitality.Yet no matter how far I traveled, Transylvania was never just the place I came from. It was the place I kept returning to, staying with me wherever I went.Over time, I realized that the journeys I remembered most were never about checking places off a list.They were about the conversations that lingered long after dinner, the artist who opened the doors to their studio, the morning coffee that became a window into local life, and the feeling of being welcomed not as a tourist, but as a guest.That's the experience I hope to share with you.

Day 1 | Welcome to BucharestArrive in Romania's vibrant capital, where your journey begins. After a private transfer to our landmark five-star hotel, settle in and enjoy time to explore at your own pace. In the evening will gather for a welcome reception to officially start our journey together.Day 2 | Art, Architecture & BucharestToday we'll discover Bucharest through its history, architecture, and creative spirit. Highlights include the Palace of Parliament, the National Museum of Art, and Theodor Aman Museum, with time to wander the charming streets of the Old Town. Along the way, I'll point you toward my favorite specialty coffee shops and local restaurants.Day 3 | From Bucharest to BrașovLeaving Bucharest behind, we'll travel north toward Transylvania, stopping at the magnificent Peleș Castle before arriving in Brașov. The afternoon is yours to stroll through the medieval Old Town, visit the iconic Black Church, and settle into one of Romania's most beautiful historic cities.Day 4 | Welcome to ViscriToday we journey deeper into Transylvania, beginning with a visit to Bran Castle before arriving in the UNESCO-listed Saxon village of Viscri. Here, life moves at a different pace. We'll explore the village and its remarkable fortified church before gathering for our Welcome to Transylvania dinner.Day 5 | Life in a Saxon VillageThis day is dedicated to experiencing rural Transylvania. We'll visit the beautifully preserved medieval citadel of Sighișoara, enjoy time in Viscri, and discover the story behind King Charles III's connection to the region. The day concludes with our signature TravelArte dinner and thoughtfully selected local wines.Day 6 | Slow TransylvaniaOne of my favorite days of the journey. We'll explore the surrounding countryside by e-bike, enjoy a live cooking picnic, meet local artisans, and experience the traditions that continue to shape everyday life in Transylvania. The evening brings another memorable dinner celebrating local cheeses, wines, and regional flavors.Day 7 | Return to BucharestOur final full day brings us back to Bucharest, where one last thoughtfully curated cultural experience awaits before we gather together for our farewell reception celebrating a week of shared experiences and new friendships.Day 8 | Until Next TimeEnjoy a relaxed breakfast before your private transfer to the airport. • 60 to 45 days prior to arrival: 50% cancellation fee of total price
• Less than 45 days prior to arrival or no-show: 100% cancellation fee applies (no refund)

What is the minimum age for this experience?This journey is designed for adults (18+) who enjoy cultural discovery, great conversations, and immersive travel experiences. While this particular departure is best suited for adults, I'd be delighted to create a private family or multi-generational journey that includes children. Please don't hesitate to reach out.Who is this experience for?This journey is for curious travelers who appreciate art, culture, food, architecture, and nature. It's for those who enjoy discovering places beyond the usual tourist path and value genuine connections, thoughtful experiences, and the joy of exploring at an unhurried pace.What fitness level is required?A moderate level of fitness is recommended. We'll spend time exploring historic towns and villages on foot, with some uneven streets, hills, and stairs. You should feel comfortable walking a few miles each day at a relaxed pace.Can I join as a solo traveler?Absolutely. Solo travelers are warmly welcomed. A limited number of single occupancy rooms are available for an additional supplement.Do I need travel insurance?Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is required for all guests and should include coverage for trip cancellation, medical expenses, and emergencies while abroad. If you don't already have a policy, I'm happy to facilitate a quote through one of my trusted travel insurance partners.How many guests will be on the trip?The experience is intentionally limited to 8–10 guests to create an intimate atmosphere, foster genuine connections, and allow for the personalized attention that is at the heart of this journey.What happens after I submit my reservation?Once your reservation request is received, I'll personally be in touch within 24–48 hours to answer any remaining questions, confirm availability, and guide you through the next steps. Once your deposit is received, your place will be officially confirmed, and you'll receive everything you need to prepare for the journey.
